Con Cú

Con Cú is the penname of Canadian author Ian Thomas Shaw. Shaw was born in Vancouver and now lives in Aylmer, Quebec, outside of Ottawa. A veteran traveller, Shaw blends his rich experience living abroad with the excitement of Canada's new and open society. Soldier, Lily, Peace and Pearls was his first novel. His second novel, Quill of the Dove, will be published by Guernica Editions in early spring 2019.

 

Shaw is also the founder of Deux Voiliers Publishing, a thriving writers-plus collective dedicated to bringing down the barriers to publishing and connecting readers everywhere to the best of new Canadian novelists. He is the President of the Ottawa Independent Writers,  the Editor in Chief of the Ottawa Review of Books and the Chair of the 2016 Prose in the Park Literary Festival/Book Fair.

 

He is also a member of the Quebec Writers Federation and a member of the advisory board of Guernica Editions.
