SARAH YI-MEI TSIANG JOINS PROSE IN THE PARK

Hailing from Kingston, Sarah Yi-Mei Tsiang is the author of two poetry books, Status Update, which was nominated for the Pat Lowther Award, and Sweet Devilry, which won the Gerald Lampert award. She has been widely anthologized in such collections as Best Canadian Poetry 2013, Poet-to-Poet (2013), and the Newborn Anthology (2014). She is also editor of two poetry collections, Desperately Seeking Susans and Tag: Canadian Poets at Play. She will join Michael Fraser, Bänoo Zan and Kelly Norah Drukker on the Poetry at 150 panel moderated by Michael Mirolla.

Sarah is also a children’s writer of picture books, non-fiction, and young adult fiction. Her children’s work has been published and translated internationally, as well as named to the OLA Best Bets for Children 2010, Best Books for Kids & Teens 2011, 2012, & 2013, and the Toronto Public Library’s First and Best Book List (2012), and nominated for Ontario Libraries Association Blue Spruce Award and the Silver Birch Award. Her children’s titles include A Flock of Shoes, Warriors and Wailers, The Stone Hatchlings, Breathing Fire, and the forthcoming Night Children.
